Heathcote Harvest

In 2010 we travelled to the well known and beautiful region of Heathcote. Situated amongst the wineries of Shiraz country, only an hour and a half from Melbourne, we fell in love with a 20 acre piece of paradise. We were always interested in growing our own produce in a sustainable way and with our love of Berkshire pigs we seemed well on our way to become farmers. We have spent hours and hours learning all that we can about animal husbandry, sustainable farming and successful gardening. We pride ourselves on our way of farming and ensure that everything grown on our property has the good life from paddock to plate. Our passion for food and love for sharing our produce with neighbours and friends has led us to open our café.

Free Range Pork

Steve has always wanted to breed pigs, he did a lot a research to determine the best breed suitable for our way of farming. We have never looked back after choosing Free Range Berkshire Pigs. The Berkshire is a heritage breed and are often referred to by chefs and customers as the Wagyu style of pork. We believe that this is because of the sweet layer of fat that gives the pork a succulent taste. Of course, we encourage you to come and try it for yourself.

We have a small operation and treat our pigs with respect and give them a wonderful life. As a result our pigs are stress free and we believe this has a huge impact on the end result producing the most amazing pork.

Our pork is carefully prepared by the team at The Meat Room in Kilmore East. Their knowledge of pork is unsurpassable. We recommend you try our Pork & Fennel or Pork, Red Wine & Chilli sausages, prepared by The Meat Room. These are traditional pork sausages free of fillers and preservatives and gluten free.

Produce Store & Café

Farm Café

Our food is simple but full of flavour. Where possible we use all of our home grown produce along with as much locally sourced ingredients as we can.

Our café is set on our working farm, in a relaxed country atmosphere. If you book your table, it’s yours to enjoy without fear of being rushed.

You can relax over a long lazy lunch or enjoy before or after a tasting at some of the very best Heathcote Wineries within minutes from our café.

Our drinks list is extensive including a great selection of well known local wines, beer and ciders.
